Woodsville Terminal

Owner: Mike Confalone

First in this series will be Woodsville Terminal's 2600 Series Pullman Standard 50' Boxcars. This railroad is set in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in April of 1979. It directly connects with the Lamoille Valley RR at Granite Junction, VT. As with many other railroads in the late 70's, Per-Diem Boxcars were very popular to help increase revenue. These cars were leased in large numbers mostly for general freight service.  Many will recognize Mike's name in conjunction with his publication, Railroad Explorer. Mike has also had articles published in Model Railroader including one in the November 2008 issue.

Update:

As of August 2009 the Woodsville Terminal RR is officially a Fallen Flag. Mike has changed the focus of his layout. He has decided to model a Freelance Railroad based in Northwestern Maine called the Allagash Railway. The basis for this decision revolved around wanting to be able to run larger trains and have more artistic license on Scenery and Locations. Look for more articles from Mike in Model Railroader and other associated publications soon!
